The collection was first created in 2001 by Olivier Philips which very rapidly enjoyed tremendous growth across French and Export markets to the point where his brand could no longer be sustained by the original structure. In 2011 Olivier sold the license to his collection to a very well established French manufacturer with the capacity and the necessary production skills to further its incredible success. Today Olivier can give his full attention to the design and take the collection beyond its original concept of knitwear by adding fabric items to his collection and offer a complete Olivier Philips look! His genius in playing with colour palettes can be found across all his collections and it is always a delight to display his creations in our showroom! And... as a welcome bonus, our sources report a minimum sell-through of 70% before sale... BRAVO!!! |

More about Olivier: From the age of 12 and being immersed in Fashion manufacture (a family business of 4 generations before him), Olivier wanted to become a designer. His ambition was confirmed when he graduated with honors from ESMOD in Paris. In his twenties, Olivier gathered experience working for a number of companies and alongside cat-walk designers. But he was still searching for an original idea to impose his personal stamp and launch his own Label. This happened quite by chance during a visit at his parent's knitwear factory... Whilst walking amidst years of surplus stocks of wool in a myriad of colours, Olivier had a vision of using and mixing these like an artist uses paint and textures to create a master-piece. Working alone in his studio Olivier designs and makes every prototype from start to finish, he explains - 'I am very impatient and can not wait for someone else to interpret and execute my ideas. This can be very frustrating and result in going backwards and forward until they get it right. After all, this why I studied all aspects of design, I am a stylist, model maker and graphic designer. I live and breathe for design, it is my passion and not work for me. I am very fortunate that I have the opportunity to express myself in this way. I shut myself in my studio and only let my creations out when I am satisfied with them!' |
